Greenify Keeps Your Android Running Smoothly

Finally an XDA article explains the internals of the essential Android app Greenify *ROOT needed*.
It basically put selected applications to hibernation by terminating the app when is not in the foreground and the screen was turned off. It’ll also clean its alarms (the app registers it self to wake the device and start it again). This will keep any battery wasting app controlled.
As an example, I found that the popular Hill Climb Racing will set at least 4 different alarms, making the phone wake and run it even in the case you’re not using it in two days. Normally these app do that to send analytic data, spy on the user, connect to get more advertisements, etc.. Nothing you would really want to waste your battery in.
Try the app and, if you think is worth, donate to keep it alive :)

flattr this!
